Hi, and welcome to The Secret Shell!
This business came about quite by accident — born from a scroll through TikTok and a lifelong love of the sea. There's something about the sound of waves hitting the shoreline and the feel of sand between my toes that has always been, and always will be, my happy place.
My name is Michelle, though everyone close to me has always called me Shell. From my earliest memories, I was that girl with a pocket — or bucket — full of shells collected from every beach I ever visited. It's a passion that runs deep; so deep, in fact, that I have shells, pearls, and starfish tattooed around my ankle and down my foot.
It was on TikTok that I discovered people opening oysters and revealing the pearls hidden inside, and I became completely captivated. Watching each shell give up its treasure sparked something in me — I knew this was what I wanted to do. To open oysters and share those beautiful, unexpected moments with others.
My ambitions stretch further too. I dream of creating my own jewellery — think woven bracelets delicately incorporating pearls — but for now, this is where my journey begins, and I'm so glad you're here to be part of it
